Omfg I have come to the realization that I am about to graduate since I have to get this graduation paperwork turned in. I am about to have a bachelor of science in biology omfg omfg!!!! Now if MyMav would work properly I could get out of here and on my way.

Oooooh, and I think I know what I am going to do with my life. I am going to either work in a hospital or at a government job for a couple of years and save up money for either UT Dallas or Johns Hopkins and get my masters in bioinformatics. I'll probably take the GRE after this semester to give myself time to study hardcore for it. Working first is probably a good idea so I can get some good contacts and letters of recommendation.

What is bioinformatics? You are too smart for me. :(

Bioinformatics is a combination of computational analysis and biology. It is basically just doing statistical analysis and whatnot for oncologists and geneticists. So other people will be doing research, and I'll have to interpret their data for them.

So, you're going to go from making zero dollars a year to making what, like $40,000-$50,000?

Yeah, well, right now I make no money. By this summer I will probably be making around $30,000 minimum. If I get my masters I will probably be making over $50,000. If I never get my masters I will still be making a lot if I stay in one job for a while because the average salary increase per year is over 3% in those kinds of jobs. In any case, I will be having a low stress job which will be interesting to me so I'll be happy.

Hey, I have a question. I drink a lot. Like probably over 120oz a day. Well, maybe that's a lot I dunno but I'm always thirsty and always drinking something. Plus, I get water from food. The thing is... where does all that water go? I don't pee all of that. I don't sweat. I don't cry. My skin is VERY dry, there's like no oil on my body. So, where does it go?

You drink a gallon of liquid a day? Is it mostly water, or do you drink other stuff?

Even if you don't cry, your body is still excreting tears from your lacrimal glands. I'm not sure how much you pee, but it is probably a normal amount since you usually only pee a lot if you normally don't drink that much and then drink a lot in one day. So not peeing a lot even though you drink a lot is normal. Plus not all water waste comes out as urine. A lot comes out through your large intestine in fecal matter (with a lot of people, water will be reabsorbed in the colon, but with you that probably doesn't happen so much since you drink a lot). The rest of it is probably being used for normal water purposes in your body, like saliva, blood, etc. Most of your body tissues are a very high percentage of water, especially muscle. Also, a lot of water is used metabolically, for example glycolysis (breaking down carbs/sugar). Most people exist in a constant state of dehydration and are acclimated to it. You exist in a normal state, actually. Unless you notice some sort of other problem, I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh yeah, and I think the stuff that comes out of your sebaceous glands is a lipid, so oiliness and water consumption probably don't have a lot to do with each other. Fat is lower in water content than a lot of other tissues.

ok, I woke up at 5am and now it's 8:18am and already I've drank two 20oz. Mountain Dews, two 12oz. Fanta Grapes and half a carton of Mango Twist juice. Why am I so thirsty? Is there something wrong with me?

Ok, I looked up the side effects of the medicines I take and effexor xr can cause dry mouth. My mouth gets dry a lot so maybe that's why I'm drinking so much.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. You should probably try to drink a little less soda and more water, though.
